Welcome to your new addiction - ChevyBombs.com.  Finally, a BOMBS ONLY website to appreciate, view, anddiscuss pre-’55 American Fat Fendered Steel Cars!!!  So what exactly constitutes a “Bomb?” Many will see the terms “Bombita”, “Bomba”, and/or “Bomb” in reference to a genre of an old domestic car in “Lowrider”, “Street Low”, and maybe “Rod & Custom Magazine”. The “Bomb” was designed with large wide steel front and rear fenders separated from the hood and many containing a split window.  In addition, the automakers of the 20’s – 50’s did not hold back on the amount of chrome wrapping the car. Many will cruise with their 3” whitewall tires, lowered exterior sunvisor, foglights, fender guides, swamp cooler, fender skirts, and loaded period correct accessories to give it that classic “Gangster look”.
