About Us

Picture by Jaebueno.comWelcome to your new addiction - ChevyBombs.com.  Finally, a BOMBS ONLY website to appreciate, view, anddiscuss pre-’55 American Fat Fendered Steel Cars!!!  So what exactly constitutes a “Bomb?” Many will see the terms “Bombita”, “Bomba”, and/or “Bomb” in reference to a genre of an old domestic car in “Lowrider”, “Street Low”, and maybe “Rod & Custom Magazine”. The “Bomb” was designed with large wide steel front and rear fenders separated from the hood and many containing a split window.  In addition, the automakers of the 20’s – 50’s did not hold back on the amount of chrome wrapping the car. Many will cruise with their 3” whitewall tires, lowered exterior sunvisor, foglights, fender guides, swamp cooler, fender skirts, and loaded period correct accessories to give it that classic “Gangster look”.

The goal of ChevyBombs.com is to focus on stock and Lowrider autos from the late 1920’s, 30’s, 40’s, and early 50’s. Topics such as GM Accessories to old school Mopar tech tips can be found here. Despite the name, ChevyBombs.com is dedicated to The Big 3 (GM, Ford, and Chrysler).  As time moves forward, we see less of these chromed out beauties out on the road with its exhaust rapping in the distance and playing the oldie tunes seeping out its thick glass window.  Many vintage cars are turned into hot rods where they are left beyond recognition or left as “Diamonds in the Rough”.   Chevybombs.com

Therefore, ChevyBombs.com is here to resurrect the glory days of GM and many others. Whether you are looking for a GM Vanity Mirror or Fulton Sun Shield Visor, you have come to the right place where many share your passion. The discussion forum focuses on experience by the “Veteranos”, Veterans with decades of old vintage car experience who have grown to appreciate real vintage vehicles.  They can provide insight to the newer generation who are engaged in restoring an Oldie.  Many of these vintage parts and tips have been lost in eternity but as many of you know, the world of restoring a “Bomba” is small and unique.  Many individuals are here to revamp and share the appreciation for true original Lowriding fat fender classics. Looking on how to lower your Fleetline? Or maybe install the original 6-volt radio in that Master DeLuxe of yours?  Chevybombs.com has become more that just a website/forum – it’s become a family in itself. Cruise right in and ask away!
